I hope someone could find it as useful as it is to me. LINK: GitHub - TeraflopsBH/qbt-update-sh: Bash script for linux to download and install qbittorrent-nox Remembering time when something basic as this was a rocket science for me, I’ve posted it on GitHub so anyone could review and use, if needed. It was tested on aarch64 and x86_64 architectures and works as intended. It uses qbittorrent-nox-static binaries from userdocs/qbittorrent-nox-static GitHub repository.Īs I have multiple torrent servers running, I find this script very useful to keep them up to date. This script replaces the apt package version of qBitTorrent-nox with a 3rd party executable, because Debian apt package versions are not always up to date. User has ability to manually override/change system arch prior updating begin. When I googled the name of the client to find the download site, I found multiple sources and I dont know which one to trust (especially after I found out that the first result in google. Hey, Way after everyone else, Ive decided to move from bittorrent and try qbittorrent. Script is able to detect system architecture, download and update qbittorrent-nox binary. Safest place to download the client from (windows 10) : r/qBittorrent. As a learning project in bash scripting, I’ve made a script which updates already installed qBitTorrent on DietPi system.
